Sallie does it again!

Today I went to go check my loans to see if Sallie Mae had fixed the situation. None of the extra money that I sent in had been applied to the principal. Instead all they did was move my due dates to the next month, without applying any of the extra money.

My question to them, "Where is the extra money?"

Sallie Mae Not Applying Payments to Principal

Sallie Mae doesn't seem to want you to pay down your loan early! Make sure that you check how your extra payments are being applied to your Sallie Mae loans every month. They usually will take your payments and move forward your due date instead of applying the payment to your principal. You can double check this by looking at your monthly statement and by checking online to see when your next due date is.

If you find out that they have done this contact them immediately in every way you can (phone, email, letter, etc.) to get the payment applied correctly.

This is my letter to Sallie Mae:

Dear Sallie Mae,
I believe there has been a grave misunderstanding. All extra (advance) payments that I made on this loan are intended to go to the principal and the principal only. I noticed that several of my due dates have been advanced and that the extra amounts that I sent in have not been applied to my loans when they were sent. I must ask that my extra payments be applied to my principal, not to advancing my payment due date.

Please fix this.

I am including this letter on my blog to encourage you to correct this situation faster.

Please post your thoughts, experiences, etc. below.
I would also love some advice on this! Thanks!

Free cats and kittens (in IL)!

Anyone interested in free kittens or cats?

Only thing you have to do is pick it up. My aunt has an overflow. She was bringing them to a shelter that she thought was no kill and found out it wasn't. :(

They have not been spayed or neutered, nor have they been vaccinated or declawed.

Pictures and personalities!

"Baby" - Male, 7 months old: Well behaved, affectionate, comes to you when you call his name, very playful.

"Callie" - Female, 2 years old: Expressive, talkative, and quirky. Likes to play with younger cats, still a kid at heart.

"Carmel" - Male, 7 months old: Very energetic, very playful, has fun playing with the simplest things like a scrap of paper.

"Cupcake" - Female, 1 1/2 years old: Mature, reserved, but really enjoys human interaction. Likes to sleep in your lap.

"Moley" - Male, 1 1/2 years old: Playful and energetic, somewhat shy but very good natured and responsive.

Please let me know if you are interested in these cats or have further questions. We would like to find a nice home for these cats. If you are not interested in them but know of someone else who might be, please let me know.

Pinkeed's Store

I have now opened my own store using ecrater. Please visit!
Pinkeed's Store

I will be adding new items everyday. It's basically like a virtual garage sale with daily finds. Some of the products that will be available have already been written about on this blog, but I am hoping to feature many more.

All shipping within the U.S. will be free!
International buyers will need to contact me about the item they want and shipping cost before buying.

Right now I have some barbies, polly pockets, books, and other items of interest up. The inventory is going to rapidly expand though as I have more stuff than I know what to do with.
So please keep checking back!

I have more items than are on the homepage of the store, please check out categories!

Right now payment is by Paypal only, but I am looking into using google checkout also.
You are also always welcome to come and pick up the item.

I also sell on ebay (with 100% feedback), but I am trying to move to ecrater:
